EUROJET Turbo GmbH (EUROJET), is the management company responsible for the EJ200 engine system, installed in the Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft, and is the point of contact for all EJ200 project activities. A leading military aerospace engine consortium in Europe, EUROJET’s shareholders comprise Avio (Italy), ITP (Spain), MTU Aero Engines (Germany) and Rolls-Royce (UK). The company’s responsibilities include the management of development, support and export of the new generation EJ200 powerplant and it operates out of its headquarters in Hallbergmoos, Germany (near Munich airport).

EUROJET, together with Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH (Eurofighter), which is responsible for managing the development and production of the complete Eurofighter Typhoon weapon system, are the industrial contractual partners of the four partner nations (Italy, Spain, Germany and the UK). These four nations established NETMA (the NATO Eurofighter and Tornado Management Agency) under the NATO charter as single interface for the core customers.

The EJ200 programme, together with the Eurofighter Typhoon programme, represents about 100,000 direct and indirect jobs across Europe involving over 400 companies. This constitutes Europe’s largest industrial programme representing a direct commitment by partner nations and companies for investment in sustainable technology and furthering of the industrial potential of the European aerospace industry.
